The Tamil Nadu Government gave administrative sanction of ₹3,500 crore to build one lakh additional houses under the Kalaignarin Kanavu Illam programme for 2025–26, providing permanent homes to eligible families. Chief Minister M. K. Stalin also launched the 'Thervukkalam' mobile app for competitive exam aspirants and the Thiran 360 portal for youth skill development. He laid the foundation for a ₹62.50 crore building at Shenoy Nagar, Chennai, to serve as a coaching centre for All India services, and virtually opened ELCOSEZ, set up by ELCOT at Sholinganallur.
