New Delhi is the venue for the 7th Agrivoltaics World Conference 2026, hosted by India and the first edition of the event to be held in the Global South. Agrivoltaics (AgriPV) means using the same land for both crop cultivation and solar photovoltaic power generation. Organised by the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE), the meet carries the theme “Powering the Global South” and discusses crop productivity, policy, financing and farmer-centred models. The AgriPV Policy Handbook, the India Agrivoltaics Alliance (IAA) Decision-Making Tool and the International Water Management Institute (IWMI) Book of Abstracts were released there.
