CALM-Brain, India's first digital repository on brain structure and function, has been launched in Bengaluru. Developed by researchers at the National Institute of Mental Health and Neurosciences (NIMHANS) and the National Centre for Biological Sciences (NCBS), it holds clinical, brain imaging, behavioural and genetic data on psychiatric conditions such as addiction, bipolar disorder, dementia, obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD) and schizophrenia. The repository is meant to aid understanding, diagnosis and treatment of mental health disorders.
