The Ministry of AYUSH marked the 9th Siddha Day at Kalaivanar Arangam in Chennai on the theme 'Siddha for Global Health'. Siddha Day falls on 6 January each year, the birth anniversary of Sage Agathiyar, who is considered the founder of Siddha medicine. Siddha originated in Tamil Nadu and is one of the traditional systems of medicine recognised under AYUSH.
