Notification No. 17/MRB/2025, dated 21.11.2025. 1,100 Assistant Surgeon (General) posts (indicative; may change).
- Online applications: 21.11.2025 to 11.12.2025.
- Fee: Rs. 1,000 (Rs. 500 for SC/SCA/ST/differently abled).
- Computer-based test: Medical Sciences paper of 100 questions (100 marks, 2 hours, English, MBBS level), no negative marking. Minimum 35% (30% for SC/SCA/ST).
- Tamil Eligibility Test (SSLC standard, 50 marks, 1 hour): must score at least 40%; not counted for ranking.
- No interview. The Provisional Selection List was published on 11.03.2026.
