World Ranger Day is observed every year on 31 July to honour rangers who have been killed or injured while protecting nature and cultural heritage.
The theme for 2026 is "Rangers: Guardians of a Changing Planet." The day recognises the frontline role of forest and wildlife rangers in conserving protected areas and biodiversity.
