World Photography Day is observed every year on 19 August to honour photographers and recognise how photography preserves important moments; its 2026 theme is “HOME.” The International Day of Remembrance and Tribute to the Victims of Terrorism falls on 21 August each year. It honours and remembers people affected by terrorism and promotes their human rights and fundamental freedoms. The 2026 theme for this day is “Healing through Memory.”
