World Autism Awareness Day is marked every year on 2 April. The observance seeks to spread awareness about autism and to encourage acceptance and inclusion of autistic people in families, schools, workplaces and society at large. For 2026, the day is being observed with the theme “Autism and Humanity – Every Life Has Value”. The theme stresses the dignity and worth of every individual on the autism spectrum and calls for support systems that allow them to participate fully in community life.
