V.O. Chidambaranar Port in Thoothukudi, Tamil Nadu, has rolled out India's first Digital Twin platform for a port.
A digital twin is a live virtual replica of a physical system. Fed with real-time data, the platform tracks the port's infrastructure, the movement of vessels, cargo handling and the status of equipment, giving the port authority a single, continuously updated view of its operations.
