UNCTAD's Global Investment Trends Monitor reported global FDI rose 14% in 2025 to $1.6 trillion, with developed-economy flows up 43% to $728 billion (EU up 56%) but developing-economy flows down 2% to $877 billion (55% of global FDI). UNCTAD was established in 1964 and is headquartered in Geneva.
