UN Women has set up the Digital, Innovation and Artificial Intelligence (AI) Hub to put gender equality at the heart of digital transformation. It will bring together governments, tech firms, researchers, AI experts and women's rights groups to reduce gender bias in AI, address online violence and help countries frame gender-responsive digital and AI policies. According to UN Women, women hold nearly 20% of AI jobs and only around 10% of senior AI leadership roles, while a global analysis of 133 AI systems found gender bias in 44% of them.
