The United Nations has adopted the Agreed Conclusions framework aimed at improving access to justice for women and girls worldwide. It was approved by consensus at the 70th session of the Commission on the Status of Women (CSW) in New York. The framework is not legally binding; instead it serves as policy guidance for member states seeking to improve their justice systems. It calls for removing discriminatory laws, guaranteeing equal legal rights for women and girls in every sector, strengthening protection against violence both online and offline, and improving support systems.
