The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) has started its first structured bug bounty programme to tighten the security of the Aadhaar ecosystem. Cyber security professionals and ethical hackers are invited to find weaknesses and hidden risks in UIDAI's digital platforms. About 20 selected security researchers will test systems including the official website, the myAadhaar portal and the secure QR code application. The exercise is meant to catch security flaws early, prevent data breaches and strengthen the protection of citizens' personal identity data.
