Researchers have described two frog species new to science from Mizoram: Duttaphrynus phawngpui and Ingerana aizawl. Duttaphrynus phawngpui was recorded at elevations above 2,000 metres in Phawngpui National Park and is named after Phawngpui, the highest peak in Mizoram.
