Tamil Nadu signed an MoU with Sarvam AI to build India's first Sovereign AI Park, a ₹10,000 crore project. It will be a complete AI hub with computing infrastructure, secure data systems, research labs and innovation clusters, and should create about 1,000 high-skill jobs. It will also house an Institute for AI in Governance, with data, models and computing kept under State control. Sarvam AI, chosen under the IndiaAI Mission, builds AI models for Indian languages.
