The Tamil Nadu Registration Department has named two nodal officers to coordinate rollout of Project STAR 3.0: P. Kannan, Assistant Inspector General of Registration (Vigilance), and E. Bhavani, District Registrar (Guideline). STAR 3.0 is an upgraded software platform that will replace the existing STAR 2.0 system. It is meant to simplify document registration, improve service delivery and efficiency, and push the department's digital transformation using advanced technologies.
