The Tamil Nadu government is widening support for women entrepreneurs across the State through the Vetri Magalir Thozhilmunaivor Membattu Thittam. Eligible women can obtain loans ranging from ₹10 lakh to ₹5 crore through the Tamil Nadu Industrial Investment Corporation (TIIC). The loans carry an annual interest rate of 9.95% on a diminishing-balance basis, with repayment allowed over up to 9 years. The scheme covers all 234 Assembly constituencies, and MLAs have been asked to identify 10 promising women entrepreneurs from each constituency.
