Bengaluru has been ranked the world's fastest-growing major city up to 2035 in the Growth Hubs Index released by real estate consultancy Savills. The index studied 245 cities worldwide on the basis of GDP growth, migration and the expansion of wealth. Bengaluru took the top spot because of its strong talent pool and its large number of Global Capability Centres (GCCs), which are offshore units set up by multinational companies for technology, finance and operations work. Asia-Pacific cities made up nearly 85% of the top 20 fastest-growing cities in the ranking.
