Tamil Nadu marked five years of sporting success at the 'Champions of Tamil Nadu' event in Chennai. More than 175 sportspersons, including 50 para-athletes, received government appointment orders under the 3% sports quota. Incentives totalling ₹33.5 crore were given to 1,172 athletes, and the foundation stone was laid for the ₹261 crore International Sports City project in Chennai.
