Romania has formally joined the International Solar Alliance (ISA) after ratifying its Framework Agreement. Romania's Ambassador Sena Latif handed over the instrument of ratification to the ISA Depository in the presence of officials from India's Ministry of External Affairs. The ISA is an intergovernmental organisation that promotes the adoption of solar energy among its members by mobilising investment, lowering solar costs and widening access to clean energy. It was launched jointly by India and France at COP21 in 2015 and has its headquarters in Gurugram, India.
