The Prime Minister inaugurated Phase I of Noida International Airport, which becomes the second major international airport in the National Capital Region (NCR) after Indira Gandhi International Airport. Alongside, the Government of India approved a ₹3,630.77 crore greenfield connectivity project that will link the Delhi–Mumbai Expressway with Jewar International Airport. Together, the new airport and the expressway link are expected to ease pressure on Delhi's existing airport and improve access to the airport from the wider region.
