During his state visit to Israel, the Prime Minister of India announced the Villages of Excellence initiative to widen agricultural cooperation between the two countries. It is a grassroots extension of India-Israel farm cooperation that will turn farming clusters into technology-driven zones. The initiative will promote precision farming, satellite-based irrigation and integrated pest management to raise farm productivity and resource efficiency.
