Pi Day, which is also marked as the International Day of Mathematics, is observed worldwide on 14 March every year. The date was chosen because 3/14 matches the first three digits of the mathematical constant π (3.14159).
The day celebrates the value of mathematics in everyday life, science and technology. The theme for 2026 is "Mathematics and Hope."
