Paras Defence Partners with Complus and JV Micronics for Anechoic Chamber Projects

Indigenous Innovation: Strengthening India's Electromagnetic Testing Infrastructure

In April 2026, Paras Defence and Space Technologies Limited (PARAS) signed a significant Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Complus Systems Private Limited and JV Micronics. This tri-party collaboration aims to develop advanced anechoic chamber projects in India, boosting the nation's self-reliance in high-end defense testing.

Key Roles in the Consortium:

  • PARAS: Will act as the consortium leader, overseeing the design, development, manufacturing, and installation of the chambers.

  • Complus Systems: Responsible for providing technical expertise and specialized engineering support.

  • JV Micronics: Will handle the manufacturing and integration of Radio Frequency (RF) absorbers and associated testing solutions.

What is an Anechoic Chamber?

An anechoic chamber is a specialized, shielded room designed to completely absorb reflections of electromagnetic waves. These facilities are essential for testing the performance of antennas, radar systems, and sensitive electronic equipment without external interference. For TNPSC and Science aspirants, this is a key development under 'Science and Technology - Defense Infrastructure,' showcasing India's move toward Atmanirbhar Bharat in specialized electronics.
