NITI Aayog has published a report titled 'Empowering Farmers: Natural Farming Training Toolkit & Best Practices Guide.' Natural farming is a livestock-based system that avoids chemicals and combines crops, trees and animals to enrich biodiversity. Unlike conventional agriculture, it depends on natural ecological processes rather than external chemical inputs. According to the report, the method lowers the cost of cultivation, raises farm incomes, improves soil organic carbon and microbial activity, saves water and electricity, and substantially cuts greenhouse gas emissions.
