The Union Cabinet has approved a four-lane highway project between Barabanki and Bahraich in Uttar Pradesh on National Highway-927. The upgraded road is designed to improve connectivity between India and Nepal. It is expected to boost cross-border trade through the Rupaidiha–Nepalgunj route, making the movement of goods and people between the two neighbours faster and easier.
