Researchers have discovered a new species of 'fanged frog', named Limnonectes motijheel, in the Namdapha Tiger Reserve located in Changlang district of Arunachal Pradesh. Fanged frogs of the genus Limnonectes are known for tooth-like projections on the lower jaw. The find highlights the rich and still under-documented amphibian diversity of the Eastern Himalayan forests of North-East India.
