The Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports announced the National Sports Awards 2025, with no athlete chosen for the Major Dhyan Chand Khel Ratna. The Arjuna Award went to 17 athletes, including chess players Vidit Gujarathi and Divya Deshmukh, high jumper Tejaswin Shankar and badminton players Gayatri Gopichand and Treesa Jolly. Former footballer and coach I. Arumainayagam received the Arjuna Award (Lifetime). Dronacharya Awards went to Parveer Singh, Chhote Lal Yadav, Neha Nandkumar Chavan, Dharmendra Singh Yadav and Virender Kumar. The Army Paralympic Node, Pune, won the Rashtriya Khel Protsahan Puruskar.
