The Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change (MoEFCC) launched the India Net Zero Portal and the National Action Plan on Climate Change (NAPCC) Dashboard in Mumbai on 16 September 2026, World Ozone Day. The portal lets Indian entities voluntarily register Net Zero commitments and report progress, with Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions encouraged and Scope 3 reporting optional. The dashboard offers one platform to track the eight National Missions under NAPCC, launched in 2008, including the National Solar Mission, National Water Mission, Green India Mission and Sustainable Agriculture Mission. India aims for Net Zero by 2070.
