Micron Technology has begun operations at India's first advanced memory Assembly, Testing, Marking and Packaging (ATMP) facility at Sanand in Gujarat. The plant houses the world's largest semiconductor clean room with a 500,000 square foot raised floor. ATMP units take finished silicon wafers and turn them into packaged, tested memory chips, making this facility an important step in building India's semiconductor manufacturing ecosystem.
