In the third round of approvals under the Electronics Components Manufacturing Scheme (ECMS), MeitY cleared 22 projects worth about ₹41,863 crore that are expected to create 34,061 jobs. Tamil Nadu gained the most: three projects by Tata Electronics, Motherson and Foxconn account for 23,451 of those jobs, and ₹27,166 crore of the enclosure-manufacturing investment is in the State. Foxconn's Yuzhan Technology unit in Tamil Nadu is the largest single project approved in this round.
