The National Statistics Office released a beta Model Context Protocol (MCP) server for eSankhyiki, India's national portal for official statistics. MCP allows AI tools to query datasets in real time without downloading files. The beta covers the Periodic Labour Force Survey, Consumer Price Index, Index of Industrial Production, National Accounts Statistics, Wholesale Price Index, Annual Survey of Industries and Environmental Statistics, supporting data-driven governance.
