Netrasemi, a semiconductor startup based in Kerala, has launched A2000, described as India's first indigenous Artificial Intelligence (AI) System-on-Chip (SoC). A System-on-Chip integrates processing units, memory and other components on a single chip, and an AI SoC is designed to run machine-learning workloads efficiently on devices. The launch is a notable step for India's chip design ecosystem and its goal of self-reliance in semiconductors.
