Kerala Agricultural University (KAU) has released a new bush-type green chilli variety named KAU Thejaswini. The variety is suited for cultivation throughout the year in Kerala, giving farmers a crop that is not restricted to a single season. Its compact bush-type growth habit makes it convenient to grow. The release adds to the university's efforts to develop improved vegetable varieties adapted to the state's agro-climatic conditions.
