Janaushadhi Saptah 2026 was celebrated from 1 to 5 March 2026, with health camps organised across India by the Pharmaceuticals and Medical Devices Bureau of India (PMBI). It culminates in Jan Aushadhi Diwas, observed every year on 7 March to spread awareness about affordable generic medicines. These medicines are sold through Pradhan Mantri Bharatiya Jan Aushadhi Kendras (PMBJAKs) under the Pradhan Mantri Bharatiya Janaushadhi Pariyojana (PMBJP), which aims to make quality medicines available at lower prices to the public.
