The International Day for the Elimination of Sexual Violence in Conflict is observed every year on 19 June.
The day seeks to raise awareness about sexual violence used during armed conflicts, to honour survivors and to call for an end to such crimes. The theme for 2026 is "Conflict-Related Sexual Violence Against Children: Safeguarding Futures and Empowering Caregivers", focusing on protecting children affected by conflict and supporting the people who care for them.
