For the first time, India produced more than 100 billion units (BU) of electricity from renewable sources within a single quarter. The milestone came in the second quarter (Q2) of the 2026–27 financial year, as reported by the Centre for Research on Energy and Clean Air (CREA). The figure marks a significant step in the growth of clean power within the country's electricity generation.
