The Department of Telecommunications (DoT) will set up India's first Telecom Manufacturing Zone in Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh. India aims to connect 100 crore people to 5G by 2030, double the current base of about 50 crore.
The Communications Minister also unveiled 'Scale without boundaries' as the theme of the 10th India Mobile Congress (IMC) 2026 in New Delhi, Asia's largest digital technology forum. It rests on four pillars: Srishti (building the future), Suraksha (strengthening trust), Sashakt (expanding opportunities) and Samvardhan (fuelling growth).
