India's data centre capacity has grown roughly fourfold, from about 375 MW in 2020 to nearly 1,500 MW in 2025. A data centre is a secured facility that stores, processes and manages large volumes of digital data. India's main data centre clusters are in Mumbai, Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Noida and Jamnagar. These facilities underpin digital payments, cloud computing, artificial intelligence and 5G services. The country's first hyperscale data centre, Yotta D1, is located in Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh.
