Rouble Nagi, an Indian educator, has been named winner of the Global Teacher Prize 2026, which carries prize money of one million US dollars. The award was announced at the World Government Summit held in Dubai. The prize recognises an exceptional teacher who has made an outstanding contribution to the profession and to students' lives. In other recognitions reported the same day, Bhutan's Queen Mother Gyalyum Ashi Dorji Wangmo Wangchuck received the 22nd Upendra Nath Brahma 'Soldier of Humanity' Award 2025.
