Indian chess player Apaar Saxena has earned the International Master (IM) title. He completed all three IM norms required for the title through strong performances in chess tournaments held in Europe. The International Master title, conferred by the world chess body FIDE, ranks just below the Grandmaster title among the lifetime titles for players. His success adds to India’s fast-growing list of titled chess players and reflects the country’s rising strength in the sport.
