The IndiaAI Mission supported the launch of Varya, an indigenous video Artificial Intelligence (AI) model developed by Avataar. Varya is a distilled video model, meaning a compact model trained to retain the abilities of larger systems while needing less computing power. It is designed to make advanced video AI affordable, accessible and relevant for Indian users. The launch is part of the mission's push to build home-grown foundation models for India.
