India Optel Limited (IOL), which functions under the Department of Defence Production, has introduced indigenous GARUD High-Resolution Binoculars for civilian buyers. The binoculars were designed and manufactured by the Ordnance Factory, Dehradun. The launch marks an effort by defence public sector units to bring indigenously made optical products into the civil market.
