India has successfully completed the oscillation trials of its first train that runs on hydrogen power. Oscillation trials check the stability and riding behaviour of a train on the track and are an essential stage before a new train can be cleared for service. The achievement is being seen as a major step for green railway transport in the country, since hydrogen-based traction offers a cleaner alternative to conventional fuels and supports India's efforts to cut emissions in the transport sector.
