The facility cost ₹4.5 crore and was funded through Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) support from Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders Limited. Researchers will use it to test and study ships, propellers and other marine structures, strengthening India's capacity for naval and maritime engineering research and supporting indigenous shipbuilding design work.
