Gujarat Police has developed NARIT AI (Narcotics Analysis and Retrieval Augmented Generation-based Investigation Tool), India's first artificial intelligence tool for narcotics investigation. Built on Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG) technology and drawing on laws such as the NDPS Act, 1985, it analyses the First Information Report and produces detailed investigation reports. It also provides evidence checklists and legal guidance, and anticipates likely defence arguments in court.
