Tamil Nadu recorded India's highest per capita income growth, rising from 0.07% in 2020–21 to 11.19%; per capita income went up from ₹2,09,628 to ₹3,61,619, a gain of ₹1.76 lakh. GSDP grew from ₹17.89 lakh crore to ₹31.19 lakh crore, about 16% growth, ranking first nationally. Poverty fell from 2.20% to 1.43%. Exports rose from US$64.93 billion to US$80.89 billion, and the State moved from 3rd to 1st in electronic goods exports. Its SDG index score improved from 74 to 78.8, placing it 3rd in India.
