Brand Finance released its Global Soft Power Index 2026, in which India is ranked 32nd in the world with a score of 48.0. The United States is first, followed by China and Japan. The index gauges how far a nation can shape the views and behaviour of others through its culture, values, diplomacy and capacity for innovation, rather than through military or economic pressure.
