R.K. Raghavan, who earlier headed the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), has released his autobiography titled A Road Well Travelled. The book was launched at an event in Chennai. The CBI is India's premier investigating agency, and Raghavan's memoir records his personal journey and experiences from a long career in public service and policing. Books by senior officials of national agencies are useful sources for understanding the functioning of India's investigative and law-enforcement institutions.
