Goa Publishes State Bird Atlas, Second After Kerala
Goa has become the second Indian State, after Kerala, to bring out a state-level Bird Atlas, released at the 9th Bird Festival of Goa in Valpoi. Using grid-based surveys, the atlas maps bird distribution and allows changes in populations to be tracked over time, aiding conservation, citizen science and evidence-based policy.
